Supporting people's communication has been my passion and joy since qualifying in 2005.
Connection is at the heart of my work and I believe this enables the child or young person to feel safe, providing a secure foundation for their communication skills to grow.
Currently, I also hold an NHS role supporting children and young people across clinics, schools and preschools. This involves assessment, delivering therapy individually and within groups, writing reports, contributing to EHCP reports and delivering training to settings.
I am passionate about continually developing in my role and I have completed the following courses:
The Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme (NDP3)
Shape Coding
Talking Mats
Attention Autism
The Curiosity Programme
Autism Level UP!
Outside of work, you are most likely to find me on long walks exploring Dorset with my dog Freddie, hanging out with my family or sipping on a strong coffee while watching the birds in my garden.
